How the Online Classes Work

Fluency requires active listening and immediate correction. This is why our classes are conducted as a Live 1-to-1 Online Class (utilizing high-quality video software like Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams). In a traditional group setting, a student might read for only two minutes, but in our 1-to-1 environment, the student is actively engaged for the entire session.

The teacher shares a clear, digital Mushaf on the screen. As the student reads aloud, the teacher listens intently, gently stopping them the moment an error occurs. The teacher demonstrates the correct pronunciation, asks the student to repeat it, and ensures the mistake is corrected before moving forward. This creates a highly focused, distraction-free environment.

The Expected Learning Journey

The journey to fluent Quran reading is a steady climb, generally progressing through these stages:

• The Initial Transition: The first few weeks are often slow. Moving from large, spaced-out Qaida text to the denser text of the Mushaf takes visual adjustment.
• Juz 30 (Amma): We often start with the 30th chapter, as the short verses help build quick confidence and familiar rhythm.
• Building Stamina: By the second or third month, students stop reading letter-by-letter and begin recognizing whole words by sight, dramatically increasing their speed.
• Full Independence: Eventually, the student can open to any page in the Quran and read it accurately without needing the teacher to sound out the words first.

Because Arabic words often look similar to a beginner, a student might glance at the beginning of a word and guess the ending, resulting in incorrect vowels (Harakat).
